The IBC joint-venture was found in March of 2001 with Russian capital assistance. The main founder of the company is the Russian "Rosaviaspetscomplect".
The main objective of the IBC's activities consists in introducing up-to-date methods of management. On the whole, the IBC has the task to develop economical ties and relations between Armenia and foreign countries, using the huge scientific-technical and manufacturing potential of Armenia.
IBC is considered to be one of the greatest financial-industrial groups of Armenia. The activities and interests of the IBC are wide and different. It is involved in various spheres of industry, banking, construction and real estate market.
The IBC owns the control package of several huge industrial enterprises such as Almast OJSC, Orbita CJSC, Aparani Aragats CJSC, and other. The products of IBC enterprise system are of great demand not only in Armenia.

The AIC was established by the Government of Armenia in late 1998 with the aim of facilitating through provision of specialized financial services, including attracting and assisting foreign and domestic investors, providing consulting services for export-oriented enterprises, and creating special zones to promote SMEs as well as project financing.
The first project supported by the AIC was a large agro-processing development program, with the participation of the Government, the Swiss Andre Group, the Armenian Development Agency, four Armenian canneries, and several Armenian banks. With direct impact on over 15,000 farmers, the project has already resulted in a substantial increase in exports of agricultural commodities.
