The Fund “ Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia ” is committed to a definite Mission of supporting the development of SME sector, representing and advocating for the interests of SMEs by serving as a link between the government, business community and other partners .
The Fund “ Small and Medium Entrepreneurship Development National Center of Armenia ” (SME DNC of Armenia) is a non-commercial, quasi-governmental organization, established by decree #282 of the Government of Armenia on March 19, 2002 which is authorized to implement SME state support programs.
The Fund is governed by an executive director and the Board of Trustees, composed of government representatives and business community.
It is funded by the government and other domestic and international sources.
The Fund has regional branches and representative offices to rich out client SMEs in different regions of RA.
The SME DNC is the first structure on nation-wide level devoted to SME support and development.
Main activities of the Center includes:
provision of state support to Small and Medium Enterpreneurship (SME) sphere in Armenia;
SME sphere development, including implementation of targeted programs, development programs jointly with the international organizations;
enhancing the competitiveness and the efficiency for performance of SME units;
provision of technical and financial assistance to SME units;
assistance for introduction of innovations and modern technologies;
expansion of vocational education and training opportunities.
SME DNC has its branches in three marzes of Armenia: in Shirak marz, Syunik marz, and Tavush marz.
